The Restoration Process

After a comprehensive strip down, all panelwork and front and rear hubs are sandblasted back to bare metal, which is then Etch Primed ready for painting.

The frame is then bolted to one of our frame assembly jigs for fitment of new cables, electrics, all painted parts and panels, seat, front forks assembly and engine unit.

The engine was stripped, cleaned and all parts inspecred for wear. Quality bearings, seals and gaskets were used in the re-build. A re-bore and new piston were also required. Where possible all serviceable parts which could be re-used, were.

The front and rear brakes are stripped and overhauled, as are the front forks.

The headset gearchange and throttle mechanisms are all correctly shimmed and assembled for correct clearance.

Some items look unsightly if re-used and we always insist on using Casa Lambretta frame rubbers/ seals, wiring loom and badges and fuel stickers etc.

"Original Factory Fit Style" Stainless Steel fixings, are preffered, where available to prevent rust of course.
